Meet Heidi
Heidi Davis · Founder & Lead Bookkeeper
I started The Bookkeepers Solution because I'd seen too many small business owners stuck in the same trap — working themselves into the ground and never quite sure what their numbers meant. Books that were technically correct but practically useless. I wanted to do it differently.
My background is hands-on: years working across multiple client files daily, deep in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and the dozens of integrations that make modern bookkeeping actually work. I specialise in trades and service businesses — electricians, plumbers, earthworks contractors, data analysts — because I understand the realities of running them. Cash-flow that swings with the seasons. Quotes that don't match the actual job. Super and BAS deadlines that always sneak up.
What I bring isn't just data entry. It's a strategic eye on what the numbers are telling you, and a calm voice in your inbox when things get tricky. I'm continuously training through the Bookkeeping Institute of Australia and Strategic Bookkeeper programs, and I'm a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and the Australian Bookkeepers Network — because the legislation keeps moving, and so do I.
When I'm not working, I'm probably wrangling my two cats (Vincent and AJ — who absolutely run the office) or experimenting with some new piece of automation to make our practice run a little smoother.
